The WESTERN NEW YORK area will include the part of the state that is between Interstate 81 and the Penna. border near Erie and from the Canadian border to the Penna. south.

We hope to include Corvettes from the Northeast as well as from Canada.

Since last posting information about our route plans have changed.  Currently we are looking at having ONE CENTRAL departure point.   That point will be NIAGARA FALLS NEW YORK.  The main reason for this change is because we have been able to secure a dealership sponsor.
DAVID CHEVY of Niagara Falls has offered to sponsor our caravan.  The owner of the dealership has offered to hold a KICK OFF PARTY on Tuesday 06/24/03 at his buisness.  By meeting at this location also offers an ideal location for the cars from Canada to join our caravan.

We will depart on Weds morning and travel toErie, Pa on the NY Stae thruway. Once in Erie we will head south on  Interstate 79 and continue our trip south to Washington Penna. Once in Washington we will be picking up Interstate 70 and head west.  We will contiue on to St Clairsville, Ohio where we will spend the evening

Thursday morning we will meet with other Corvette enthusiasts and drive to Cambridge, Ohio. There we will head south to Charleston, W.Va. on Interstate 77. Once in Charleston we will enjoy the senic drive west along the BlueGrass Parkway, also known as Interstate 64, to Elizabethtown, Kentucky. From there it's about the 1 hours drive down Interstate 65 to Bowling Green, our final destination.

In all I figure the trip should take between 14 and 16 hours. Remember this is NOT a SPEED CONTEST. We are encouraged by GM and the NCM to obey all speed limits and traffic laws. Many of us will be driving vintage Corvettes and we do not want anything to happen that would spoil the trip.

The NCM and GM are planning an assortment of activitites doing the celebration which will riun from June 26 to 30, 2003.  To obtain more information as to what is being planned link to their sites using the links provided.

As for WNY we are interested in hearing what you may be interested in doing.  There is a wide varity of things to do and places to go.

Hope to see as many of you WESTERN NEW YORK Corvette lovers there as possible.
