June 25, 2003 St. Clairsville, Ohio

We plan on departing the Niagara Falls area around 7:00AM on Weds morning.  Our first stop will be in Meadville Penna.  We are planning a stop at Community Chevrolet, Inc., 16408 Conneaut Lake Rd., Meadville, Penna. 16335.  George Zeljak General Manager is working with us and has offered to have his service area available to anyone in need of service.  There will also be a quick lunch available at the dealership as will as fuel for those thursty V8's.

Our plans are to be back on the road around 1:00PM allowing us to arrive at the motel in St. Clairsville by 5:00PM.  We are planning several activities for those of you that do not want to stay in your rooms.  First there will be a senic road cruise through the surrounding country side of West Virginia.  We promise everyone a ride they will NEVER forget.  If you are tired of driving there is a dog race track about 4 miles from the motel, and a large mall for those who may need to go shopping or want to take in a movie.

June 26 to 30 2003  Cave City

We will again be on the road early Thurs. morning.  Our plans are to leave the motel around 7:00AM.  We hope to be in the Lexington Ky. area around noon.  Our plans are to stop in at the Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Ky. for a quick lunch as well as a rest for both the cars and our backsides.  We are still in ther process in talking with the people at Wild Turkey to see what can be set up for lunch in or around the distillery.  Once everyone is well rested we will continue our trip to Cave City.  Our arrival time is set for 5:00PM just in time for dinner.

Friday will be the first full day in Bowling Green.  Many have plant tours to attend while some may plan on driving to Nashville along with the Nashville Cruze.  Cindy and I along with several others will be working as volunteer plant guides.

At this point in time there are no set plans for Fri afternoon.  Perhaps we can set up a cruise around the area or see what we can set up.

We are talking with the people in the Cave City area.  Doug McDonald is working with the motel and the city in hopes of having a parade or something else planned.. More details will be made available as soon as possible.

Saturday we plan on making the trip to Nashville to attend the GM events.  We will following the NCM scheduled  times and arrive at the museum in time to collect our passes and join the others making the trip.  We are not planning anything during the day on Sat.   We are looking into having a pool and pizza party on Sat evening at the motel.  This will be a great setting to meet everyone and perhaps make arrangements for our trip home.

June 29, 2003

Okay by now everyone will be looking to the end of our stay at Bowling Green.  We have ordered 60 tickets for the Mammoth National Park.   This is about a 20 min drive from the motel.  We hope to start the tour around 9:00AM.  It will last about 2 hours and is rated as a moderate walk.  Tickets will be made available soon.   They will cost $9.00 per person and will be sold on a first come first served bases.

Following the the tour we will drive on into the museum and attend the events there.   The museum will have numerous venders and events being held on the grounds so we are not planning anything for Sunday afternoon.

June 30, 2003

Final day of the 50th anniversary.   Some may have already started back home because of work, while others will still be ready for another day of celebrations.  The museum is planning the birthday party for Monday which will include the cake cutting.

Regardless this will be the last day.  We hope to leave on Mon. with a departure not yet set.  I'm sure we will have all this decided long before that time arrives.  Hopefully this will help fill in the voids that many of you have been asking about.   Many of these plans are tenitive.  We are still working out details and will post them here as soon as they become available.
